This wine ” La grande robe rouge” was offered by President Emmanuel Macron to\u00a0 President of China Xi Jinping while visiting France in early May. This Cornas 2008 was served at the State Dinner as a\u00a0 testimony to the deep friendship of 60 years between France and China. In 1964 Pr\u00e9sident Charles de Gaulle had initiated strong diplomatic relationship between our two countries that lasted ever since.<\/p>\n

The intense red robe of the Cornas wine, born in the Rh\u00f4ne Valley with smoky aromas, is\u00a0 reminiscent of\u00a0 the famous Da Hong Pao Oolong tea “Grand Red Dress,”\u00a0 from the Wuyishan plants in the Fujian province.
\nThe chosen vintage for this unique blend is 2008, the year of the Beijing Olympics, as France prepares to host the Olympic and Paralympic Games in Paris this year.<\/p>\n
